31/05/2005 Solidarity with Koen and Stijn !

During the night of 27th on 28th of May 2005 two comrades werearrested in Aalst (Belgium) after they had smashed the windows of a McDonald’s-restaurant and a fur-shop and stained them with ALF (Animal Liberation Front) graffiti’s. Soon after their arrest they were transferred to the prison of Dendermonde. On the 31th of May the court decided to prolong the custody because the investigation is not yet finished. In four weeks the court will again make a decision whether their arrest will be prolonged. The charge against these two comrades is ’association with the goal to make destructions’.

We won’t our imprisoned comrades down. Their action was a direct attack against the apathy, the social peace and the general tolerance towards the abuse of non-human animals. Let our solidarity be a weapon and a sign of complicity !

According to a last message (7/06/2005) Koen and Stijn are doing very well in prison. They are really happy to see solidarity grow and are asking explicitly for mail and letters. Let us support them in their defiance and sustained struggle !
