Freedom for Igor, Carol, Teo, Roger, Joaquin and Rafa !

On the 16th of september 2003 in a violent police action 6 mates and friends got arrested. One more colleague is still persecuted by the European police.

After the arresting they were moved to Madrid were they stayed on remand. Our friends are accused of being member of a clandestinian insurrectionalist anarchist armed group.

This group should be responsible for several acts of sabotage against private and public property. Moreover they are accused of having sent a letterbomb to the greek embassy in Madrid on September 8th, 2003, in support of the hunger strike of those anarchists who stayed in prison in Thessaloniki. The bomb didn’t do any harm. Besides Carol and Rafa are accused of planning an assassination of a journalist.

Teodoro was released after a few days and is free since this day. The others were divided up to different prisons in Madrid and Ávila.

One year after the arrests of our friends the trials against them have begun. The antiterror law is also apllied on Teodoro who first expected only to get minor penalties.

Sentences and penalties will be declared in a few months. The antiterror legacy allows penalties up to 28 years of prison for some of our friends.

It doesn’t matter if it’s one day or 28 years of prison, we will continue struggling for them and doing everything possible to support them. They would do the same for us.

We don’t ask permission to be free. Neither are we going to be sorry for being it.
