Police arrested three alleged extremists of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (ML-Janajuddha) from their village Kumarkhali in Dakope upazila Monday night.
The arrested were identified as Billal Hossain Hawlader, 25, Abdul Halim (22) and Abu Syed (24).
Police said, on secret information, they raided the village at about 11pm and arrested them. They were wanted in sensational Munir murder and several other criminal cases.
Police said Munir was brutally killed by the terrorists on Feb 16 at Chunkuri village in the upazila.
Another report from Noakhali adds : Two alleged terrorists were arrested along with firearms from Gopal Bazar in Begumganj upazila Tuesday. Locals said they caught Alauddin, 21, and Humayun Kabir Hiran, 21, along with an LG, a pipe gun and bullets when they along with other terrorists were trying to attack on local BNP activists at the bazar. Later, they were handed over to the police. A case was filed.
