A Palestinian political prisoner on hunger strike for the past 22 days was transferred to the Ramale Prison Hospital Monday, informed Palestinian sources said.
Sources from inside the prison said four prison officials carried Musa Dudin, 31, to the prison hospital shortly before Monday.
Dudin was reportedly in grievous condition and unable to sit down, move around or speak.
Red Cross representatives who visited him last Thursday recommended that he be transferred to hospital immediately.
Dudin has been on hunger strike for the past 22 days in protest against his solitary confinement, continuous handcuffing and foot-hackling.
Another prisoner hunger-striker, Ahmed Barghouthi, continues to languish in the same prison, for the same demands.
